At First Baptist Church (FBC) of Shannon Hills, we believe that the love of Christ is the foundation of our community. We strive to embody that love in all that we do, whether it is through our worship services, our outreach programs, or our interactions with one another. We welcome everyone, regardless of background or beliefs, and invite you to experience the transformative power of Christ's love at FBC of Shannon Hills.

If you have ever felt uncomfortable at another church, come see us.

If you have ever felt out of place at another church, come see us.

If you just feel different, come see us.

God gave me a vision for a congregation of purple hair, orange hair, green hair, and blue hair.  Nose rings, gauges, sleeves of tats!  Come on!  We don't care what people look like on the outside.  God looks at the heart! (1 Samuel 16:7)

White, Black, Asian, Hispanic, Native American, or whatever, we don't care.  We simply love one another.  God created us all and we all go back to Noah and his family. (Genesis 7:7)

Most of the families in our church have been affected by substance abuse in one way or another.  All of us have our issues. All our welcome.  We are stronger together.   (Matthew 9:12)  

One of the most powerful verses in the Bible to me is found in Matthew 9:10.  When Jesus sat down at that table, He knew everyone that would sit there.  He knew there names.  He knew everyone of their sins.  And that is where He CHOSE to sit.  

Wherever you choose to sit, Jesus is already there.  He already knows everything about you.  He loves you. 

Christ gave the church three missions:

1) To spread His Word and baptize new believers.

2) To teach those believers how to love God with all their heart, all their mind, all their strength and all their souls.

3) To teach what it truly looks like when we love one another as He loves us.

So please, come join us for worship and let us get to know you!
